1. Website redevelopment

The Industrial Magistrates Court of Western Australia (IMC) is a specialised state court established under section 81 of the Industrial Relations Act 1979 (WA). Its website serves as the central platform for businesses, employers, staff, and legal practitioners to access essential information, resources, and services for managing industrial disputes in Western Australia. In short, the website consolidates all procedural, administrative, and legal support materials needed to navigate industrial matters in WA, ensuring transparency and efficiency in workplace justice.

In 2024 Kindleman was tasked with rebuilding the website to include the follow key features:

  • Court information & jurisdiction: Overview of the Court’s role in adjudicating breaches of minimum entitlements, industrial instruments, wage underpayments, long‑service leave disputes, and other workplace claims

  • Types of claims & processes: Sectioned guidance on claiming, responding, pre‑trial conferences, hearings, and appeals—with downloadable fact sheets and links to applications such as “Making a claim” or “Responding to a claim”

  • Forms and procedural tools: Access to forms, fees schedules, hearing lists, practice directions, frequently asked questions, video guides, and case decisions

  • Accessibility features: Built‑in language translation tools and an improved visual design since its March 2024 relaunch to aid navigability

2. Sliverstripe

Kindleman chose Silverstripe to build the Industrial Magistrates Court of Western Australia (IMC WA) website due to its robust security, flexibility, and suitability for government-level digital solutions.

Silverstripe is an open-source CMS designed with accessibility and customisation in mind—critical factors for a judicial body like the IMC.

Its modular architecture allowed Kindleman to create a highly structured, easy-to-navigate site that meets the strict compliance, usability, and content management needs of a government court.

API integrations enable real-time data sharing, automated court listings, and streamlined access to legal resources and updates.

Silverstripe’s strong permissions model was ideal for managing different workflows within the court. Its support for multilingual content, accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1), and stable long-term maintenance aligned with the Court’s future-focused goals. Importantly, Kindleman has deep expertise in Silverstripe, making it an efficient and secure choice for delivering a modern, user-friendly site.

The result is a platform that improves public access to legal information while remaining stable, compliant, and easy to manage internally.

OUR PROJECTS ARE BUILT WITH HTML5, CSS3, AND STANDARDS.

That means we’re building websites that will stand the test of time, are scalable, and work across all the modern desktop and mobile browsers. It’s a big deal.
