Going Down Swinging

Last post's poster is a great example of the types of works published in Going Down Swinging.  According to an email sent by NSW Writer's Centre, Going Down Swinging is one of Australia's most respected and acclaimed literary magazines, publishing the best short fiction and poetry since 1980. They were one of the first literary magazines to regularly publish new comic art.

They also publish short stories and poetry. In their words, "the freaky-coolest and thought-provokingest, freshest, jivest, hippest and newest in contemporary prose, poetry, spoken word, graphic art and comics."

Submissions for the upcoming November issue close on June 30, 2008. Contributors will be paid between $50 - $100 per piece. So if you think you've got what it takes, enter at http://www.goingdownswinging.org.au/
